Our search for a home really began in 2013. At the time we were living in Phoenix, Arizona-in a not so great neighborhood while renting a not so great home. We were expecting our third child and dreaming of living somewhere better. Somewhere our three girls could play safely outside without the risk of heat stroke! A place where they could grow, learn, and play. A place where they would always feel safe. My parent’s lived here in Charlotte and we thought moving here would be the perfect opportunity to buy our first home and raise our kids near family. So we set off cross country with the hope of someday finding the perfect home. We have quickly fallen in love with the Charlotte area and the great community here. I am a first grade teacher in CMS and have thoroughly enjoyed being an intricate part of the community. Chris is a home energy auditor for Duke Energy and is excited about helping other Charlotteans make their homes the best place for them. While building this community of friends and watching our own children grow and thrive, the prospect of homeownership has always been at the forefront of our goals. When talking about our needs and wants in a house with the girls their list of demands was really quite simple: a place for a garden because in Phoenix the plants would always die, a big backyard, a house that would keep us warm, and one special request from our Kindergartener (the oldest)- her own room! So we set out to find them their perfect home because really their needs are always greater than ours. As I’m sure you know house hunting is no easy task. We drove and drove through many neighborhoods. We have peeked through windows, walked through houses, we tried to imagine raising our family in these homes but something was always off. After each house the girls would say, “Can we get this one!” To which we would reply, “Let’s keep looking”. Until we saw your house! Your house had just the charm we were looking for, our biggest deal breaker is a cookie cutter home and that is exactly what your house is not. The girls peeked in the rooms picking which one they would want. They ran through the backyard to the tree house yelling, “Daddy, there’s bunk beds in here! We can go camping whenever we want!” Camping is their all-time favorite. We watched them run to the swing and beg us to put their baby sister in it. All the while we knew, this is the house they had been praying for. The one we moved 2,100 miles for. As always the girls looked at us at the end of the showing but this time instead of asking they told us, “We have to get this one, please!” So here we are today. Your home is everything we have been looking for and more. It is obvious that you have cared for it and have loved it just the way we would. (Can you please tell us how you keep white carpet so immaculate?) We hope that you will carefully consider our offer. Thank you for your time.
