This is an unsponsored review and all opinions are my own. I am currently obsessed with wallpaper and when I told Chris and my family that I wanted to wallpaper pretty much every wall...or at least one wall, or room, or some space in our house they looked at me like I had 6 heads. You see, the girl's playroom had a pretty outdated and gross wallpaper border that took me an entire day to remove and after that project you'd think I would despise wallpaper. Also, our kitchen, and 2 out of 3 bathrooms in our home have wall to wall outdated wallpaper as well. See here: So I can totally see why everyone thought I was completely nuts when I said I wanted wallpaper. But wallpaper is so beautiful nowadays, I can't help but love it! There are so many amazing options out there that it took me a while to step back off the wallpaper ledge. When I was "designing" the girls shared bedroom I realized that while I totally love wallpaper it probably wasn't the best option for our family. 1) I don't know anything about ordering wallpaper 2) Wallpaper can be a bit pricey and 3) I wanted something unique and affordable that not everyone had. Which led me to look for wallpaper alternatives. I thought about decals, fabric as wallpaper, and so and so forth and through hours of pinteresting and searching I stumbled upon Royal Design Studio Stencils. I instantly knew that this was going to be the best option for us. I love that there are so many design options and you can totally customize each stencil with whatever color choices you want. I read a bunch of reviews and watched a lady stencil an entire wall in one hour on youtube and I was sold! I ended up buying this french bee trellis stencil for a feature wall in Mya and Lilah's bedroom.
Realistically, I knew that the actual stenciling part would take a bit longer than an hour and probably be a little more painful. Here's what I love about the stencils:
A now I leave you with this shot from the girls room...
